Paraprofessional Assessments
Lexington One Adult Education is an official testing center for both the ParaPro® and ParaPathways® assessments from Educational Testing Service (ETS®). These assessments are used by school districts to evaluate the reading, writing, math, and instructional support skills needed for paraprofessional positions.

ParaPro® Assessment
Reminder: Not offered in South Carolina after August 31, 2026.
The ParaPro® Assessment measures foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as the ability to apply those skills in a classroom setting. The ParaPro will remain an option as an approved academic assessment for the qualification of paraeducators in South Carolina through August 31, 2026.
- ETS® testing fee: $55.00
- Scores: Unofficial score reports are available immediately after testing. Your official score report will be posted in your Educational Testing Service ParaPro account approximately 2-3 weeks after your test date. Additionally, your official score report will be issued electronically to your designated score recipient approximately 2–3 weeks after your test date. - Calculator Use: Not permitted
- Testing Time: Up to 150 minutes

ParaPathways® Assessment
ParaPathways® is South Carolina's approved skills assessment for aspiring and current paraeducators beginning August 2025. The computer-delivered exam measures the skills and knowledge needed to support student learning in the classroom, and consists of two separately timed subtests: Reading and Writing (code 5758) and Mathematics (code 5759).
- ETS® testing fee: Full Exam: $59.00; Subtests: $29.50
- Calculator Use: Built-in on-screen calculator permitted
- Testing Time: Up to 145 minutes for the full test (code 5757)
- Scores: Official ETS® score reports may take up to 30 days to become available. Your official score report will be posted in your Educational Testing Service ParaPro account approximately 2-3 weeks after your test date. Additionally, your official score report will be issued electronically to your designated score recipient approximately 2–3 weeks after your test date.
