• Bring your state-issued photo ID. 
• Arrive on time
• Pay testing fees (if applicable). We accept cash, check, money order, credit/debit, or Apple Pay.

• Do I need an appointment?
  • Yes. All testing is by appointment only. Appointments allow us to reserve a testing station, ensure a staff member is available to proctor your assessment, and accommodate the high volume of testing requests we receive.
• Can I walk in?
  • All assessments are administered by appointment only. We are unable to accommodate walk-in testing.
• What ID is accepted?
  • Please bring a valid photo ID issued by a government agency, such as a driver's license, state ID card, military ID, or passport. Identification is required before testing can begin. Expired IDs are not accepted.
• How long will testing take?
  • Depending on your selected assessment, expect the process to take 1-4 hours.
• How do I receive my scores?
  • Official score reports are provided electronically by the testing company. Scores are typically emailed directly to the email address associated with your testing account.

In South Carolina, a GED Candidate is not required to be enrolled in a preparatory program prior to testing for the GED. Local GED prep classes and approved adult education programs, however, are a great way to save money, as well as, improve your skills and scores. With the GED, you can take the 4 subject tests all at once or one at a time. The GED® may be taken two ways: 

1. In-Person: You can take the test at an official, state-designated testing center, like Lexington One Adult Education. Center testing costs $37.50 per subject (or $150 total).
2. Online: You can take the test securely from home using an online proctor. Online testing costs $43.50 per subject (or $174 total) and requires a reliable computer, webcam, and a private workspace.
