High School Diploma Program

The Adult High School Diploma Program is open to learners who:

• Are 17 years of age or older

• Are not currently enrolled in public school

• The number of credits you need to graduate will determine eligibility and your individualized course plan. Students with fewer than 17 credits may qualify for alternative options.

Once diploma requirements are completed, students are awarded a South Carolina High School Diploma.

• One-time registration fee: $25.00

• 1.0 credit course: $50.00

• 0.5 credit course: $25.00

Initial fees must be paid at enrollment and prior to starting each new class.

• Students must be 17 years of age or older

• Students must officially withdraw from their high school

• Students age 17 must:

  • Be referred by attendance or their high school principal

  • Complete the top portion of the Underage Waiver Form

• Transcripts must be evaluated to confirm eligibility

• Students must meet with the Director of Adult Education

• All initial fees must be paid prior to starting classes

• Students with an IEP will participate in an IEP meeting to confirm Adult Education is the appropriate setting

• Students must be 17 years of age or older

• Students must officially withdraw from their high school

• Students age 17 must:

  • Be referred by attendance or their high school principal

  • Complete the top portion of an Underage Waiver Form

• Transcripts must be evaluated to confirm eligibility

• Students must meet with the Director of Adult Education

• Initial fees must be paid at enrollment and course fees will be paid prior to starting each new class

• Students with an IEP will participate in an IEP meeting to confirm Adult Education is the appropriate setting

If you are 16 or 17 years old and believe Adult Education is the right path for you:

• Complete the top portion of the Underage Waiver Form

• Bring the form with you to enrollment

• Obtain a school withdrawal form from your guidance office
