Class Schedule

Class Schedule Options

At Lexington One Adult Education, we understand that adult learners have busy schedules. To help meet the needs of our students, we offer several class options throughout the week. Whether you prefer morning, afternoon, or evening classes, we have a schedule designed to fit your lifestyle.

🌞 Morning Classes (In Person)

Monday–Thursday
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Ideal for our young adult students and those who prefer to attend classes during the day while children are in school or before other commitments.

☀️ Mid-Day Classes (In Person)

Tuesday–Thursday
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

A great option for students seeking a shorter daytime schedule with flexibility for work and family responsibilities.

🌙 Evening Classes (In Person)

Tuesday & Thursday
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Designed for students, 18 years old and older, who need a convenient evening learning opportunity.

Our staff will work with you to determine the class option that best supports your educational goals and availability. We are committed to helping every student succeed on their path to earning a High School Equivalency Diploma.

How do I start?

Ready to start? We are glad you are here! Please apply to our program, schedule a registration appointment and placement testing, and attend orientation before the first class.

Please apply to our program online in our student portal.
Registration and placement testing is by appointment only. Contact us to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you.
Bring your South Carolina driver’s license or state-issued ID and a $25 annual program fee (payment arrangements may be available). If you do not have a South Carolina ID, please let us know.
Plan to stay approximately two and a half hours for testing and registration.

Are You Eligible for the GED?

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

You’re not currently enrolled in high school.
You have valid identification (driver’s license, state-issued identification card, etc.).
You’re an adult learner (18+) in South Carolina without a high school diploma.
Important: If you are 17, you may take the GED test with parent/guardian permission and a completed Lexington One Underage Waiver Form. In addition to the Underage Waiver, students that are 16 years old, are required to be under the jurisdiction of the SC Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) or have a court order letter and the director's approval to attend an Adult Education program and officially test for the GED.
Important: If you're 17 or 18, you’ll need to complete the South Carolina Verification of Withdrawal Form before you can register for and take the GED test. Lexington One Adult Education is happy to help with this process.
Important: If you were served with special accommodations (IEP, 504, or special education classes) while in school and you are under the age of 21, these accommodations will be made available to you in Adult Education. An IEP meeting will be set with the Special Services Department of Lexington County School District One to determine continued eligibility for services.
