GED®
In South Carolina, a GED Candidate is not required to be enrolled in a preparatory program prior to testing for the GED. Local prep classes and approved adult education programs are a great way to save money, as well as, improve your skills and scores.
If you are ready to take 1 or all 4 test subjects of the GED, it is easier than ever to schedule your test.
FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS TO SCHEDULE YOUR GED TEST:
1. Set up your free account at GED.com.
2. Find study materials or a program that is right for you.
3. Schedule a date and time to take your GED subject test(s) at an official GED® testing center, such as Lexington One Adult Education, in your GED.com account.
4. Take your test.
5. Log into GED.com to check your scores.
6. Schedule your next test.
7. Once you've passed all 4 test subjects, request your transcript and diploma.
8. Celebrate! Meet with our College and Career Navigator to plan your next steps.

Paraeducator
Lexington School District One Adult Education is an official testing center for both the ParaPro and ParaPathways from Educational Testing Service (ETS®).
These general aptitude assessments for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals that measure skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math, as well as the ability to use your knowledge and skills when assisting in classroom.

WIN & Soft Skills
WIN® is a skills-based assessment used by employers, schools, and colleges to measure essential workplace skills. Earning a WIN Credential shows that you have the academic and reasoning skills needed to succeed on the job.

The WIN Career Readiness Assessment has 3 sections: Work Ready Math, Work Ready Reading, and Work Ready Data. Each section has a 55 minute time limit.
The Soft Skills Credential can take up to 60 minutes.
If testing at our office, please plan to be at the Lexington One Adult Education office for up to 4 hours during your appointment slot.
Please bring a valid, state-issued photo ID. It is required for testing.
