About Us
Building Brighter Futures for Over 35 Years
Lexington One Adult Education has proudly served the Lexington County community for over three decades—helping adults earn their high school diploma, prepare and obtain the GED, and improve their English language skills in a supportive, flexible environment.
Our story began at the Lexington Technology Center in the western part of Lexington county. As enrollment grew, we moved to the Rosenwald Community Learning Center, and in 2022, we found our permanent home at the North Lake Community Learning Center. Conveniently located on North Lake Drive in the Town of Lexington, our campus offers easy access to the interstate and neighboring communities.
Each year, we serve nearly 900 adult learners through programs designed to meet diverse educational goals, including:
-
High School Diploma (HSD)
-
High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED/GED)
-
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL)
-
Family Literacy (FL)
-
Career Readiness Certificate Testing
Our team of more than 25 dedicated educators and staff work tirelessly to support every learner’s success—whether that means advancing in a career, continuing education, or achieving personal milestones.
Adult Education programs operate under the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Adult Education, and at the federal level, under the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. This ensures consistent quality, support and accountability across adult education programs.
